ABOUT US

Our club is a gathering of Francophiles and pétanque players for the greater Sacramento area. It is the result of the fusion of two previous clubs: The "Causeries Françaises," a local cultural group more than 50 years old, and "La Boule Gauloise," founded over 30 years ago and focused on French sports - particularly the game of pétanque.

We meet for pétanque at the Mather Sports Center at 1:00 pm (10:00 am June - Sept) every Thursday and Sunday - weather permitting.  New players are welcome to drop in and play with us. We host competitive and casual pétanque tournaments at least once a month. We receive players from all over California. Click our Events tab for current calendars. We also host social potlucks and dinners for French holidays and whenever we are hungry!
